The Walker

This romantic comedy  was inspired by a successful business my wife Christine and I started a couple of years ago called Tails of The City. You might be able to guess the subject matter without too much difficulty. 

Julie moves to start a new life in Munich to escape her odd family in Boston and her disastrous history with animals. She strikes out on both counts.

Edmund the Unready

Edmund is based on a real character who was around the royal family in the 8th Century. He was the son of Edward The Confessor.

He is a failed dragon-slayer who is fired by the king, Richard The Lionheart,  and falls on hard times. His sister is kidnapped by a wizard and he pursues him, and her, into the 21st century where he finds he is considered a little un-PC. Bit of a ruffian, actually.

The Last Resort

This was originally conceived as an in depth essay of sexual inhibition and varying attitudes to love and fidelity. 

That lasted til about page 2 as I couldn't take the subject very seriously. There is such a great part in this for Brenda Blethyn.

I realised I am incapable of writing a moody film noir. Will Ferrell is much more my speed. Shake and Bake, baby. Shake and Bake. And bless little baby Jesus, Lord.
